Star Wars Die cast R2-D2 Bandai Tamashi PM12 CUSTOM 1/6 Not Sideshowith hot Toys

  
I obtained the model with a faulty projector light switch on the back of R2s head, the internal wiring has been bypassed so that now when the button on the top of his head is pressed once all of his lights operate and blink as they should, including the projector light, press the button again and he makes realistic R2 sounds. This R2 unit has been painstakingly disassembled and weathered with Tamiya weathering paints, his dome resprayed with a more realistic looking aluminium paint effect and all blue panels resprayed with metallic blue, the entire model has then been coated in a semi-gloss Tamiya clear coat. Scratches and scuffs added to the paint effect for stunning realism, please note the rear silver panels are slightly damaged as they had to be removed to expose some of the screws but weathering conceals this. I would not recommended dismantling this droid it was complicated and very time consuming but the result is stunning and very realistic, my photos dont do it justice. Box has very very minor corner creases.
